Tools You’ll Need
Before we begin, gather these simple tools:
-
🧽 Eraser
-
🖊️ Fineliner or black pen (for outlining)
-
🖍️ Color pencils or markers (optional)
-
🗒️ Drawing paper or sketchbook
-
📱 (Optional) iPad/Tablet with Procreate or any drawing app
Step-by-Step Instructions
Step 1: Draw the Top Oval
-
Start with a horizontal oval - this is the rim of the tea cup.
-
It should be wide and smooth, like a top view of a cup.

Step 2: Add the Sides
-
From each end of the oval, draw two slightly slanted lines going down.
-
These lines will form the body of your cup. Think of it like a cone shape.

Step 3: Draw the Bottom Curve & Add Tea level
-
Now, close the cup by drawing a small curved line at the bottom between the two side lines - this forms the base of the cup and gives it a solid structure.
-
Next, draw another curved line inside the top oval to show the tea level.
-
This makes your cup look like it’s filled and adds more depth to the drawing.

Step 4: Add the Handle
-
On the side of the cup, draw a big letter “C” to form the handle.
-
Make it round and smooth. You can also draw a smaller inner “C” to show the handle thickness.

Final Step: Finishing Touches
-
Add some swirl lines to show the tea is hot.
-
Add steam lines above the cup to bring it to life.
-
Use shading or colors to make your drawing more lively!
